Visit to Remploy in Newport

Today I met with Remploy in Newport to discuss the various issues that affect people with disabilities when it comes to employment.

One of the most understandable barriers is in terms of confidence and I was very pleased to hear that since 2010 they have supported over 17,000 people into paid employment! However, the work does not stop there. They continue to work with both employers and employees to ensure that the job they have not only suits and works for them but is also sustainable in terms of ability and skills.

After discussing other matters surrounding barriers to employment I left feeling very confident that their ever changing dynamic of work will continue to support people in and seeking work.

Asghar Said: “My duties will not stop there as I will be meeting with Remploy in the future to help support their work at the legislative level to ensure that they can continue offering the excellent work they do”.
