Operation Jasmine recommendations must be ‘swiftly implemented’

An official review into the handling of Wales' biggest police inquiry into care homes has revealed a long list of "mistakes and errors of judgement" by police, crown prosecutors and other official bodies.

South Wales East AM, Mohammad Asghar, said:

“The alleged abuse and neglect that resulted in this investigation will never be forgotten in south Wales and – at the very least – must serve as the catalyst for radical reform of the sector.

“There are numerous recommendations within this wide-ranging and comprehensive report which must now be swiftly implemented by all organisations involved.”
