Mohammad Asghar visited the charity Sparkle in High Cross, Newport to learn more about the work they do to support children and young people with disabilities and developmental difficulties.
The Centre has many facilities including its own dedicated hydro therapy pool, a specialist cinema and various training rooms to help support young people to become more independent.
Mohammad Asghar said:
“The work the team do is inspiring. This is a state of the art facility and the only one of its kind in the UK. Medical professionals hold clinics in the centre which supports the service users and is an excellent example of multi-agency working.”
“More than 300 children visit the centre every week and facilities are tailored to provide a friendly, safe and welcoming environment all under one roof.”
Sparkle is a charity that relies on donations to fund the vital services it supports. A link to its fundraising page is attached.
